Distros

We’ll post our favorite Linux distributions here (Distros).

Currently my favorites in order of preference:

Sidux
Debian
Ubuntu (any variety)
Almost any Debian-based Linux distribution
Puppy

Other distros based on RPM such as OpenSUse or Fedora are good alternatives, but their package management leaves much to be desired and can’t hold a candle to the speed of apt (in Debian-based distros). I’m not bashing these distros, but making the point that they are just too resource intensive when it comes to updates to be friendly enough for my tastes.
